MEDICA 2009
State Minister Christa Thoben a guest of the Medica in Dusseldorf
Christa Thoben, Minister for Economic Affairs, SMEs and Energy for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia gathered a personal view of the innovative strength of domestic companies at the Medica in Dusseldorf. Among other visits she came to the stand of TRILUX, the Sauerland manufacturer of medical supply systems and lighting solutions.
As a national market leader, TRILUX Medical again this year lived up to its name as an innovation leader. A complete LED portfolio from the Arnsberg company not only impressed a large number of visitors but also the minister: "I had the opportunity in spring to visit the headquarters and become personally convinced of the dynamic energy of the company and the complete luminaire market," said Christa Thoben on Wednesday at the fair. "The medical technology sector again affirms the name of North Rhine-Westphalia as a technology stronghold."
For TRILUX Medical the signs are pointing to growth. This year's trade fair presence demonstrated that in an impressive manner. The innovation leader was present for the first time with a two-level fair stand that realistically recreated operating theatres, surgery rooms and patients' rooms from a variety of care sectors. "Only in this way can we present a realistic impression of the working day and communicate to customers a feeling for our products," explained Rafael Muñoz, head of TRILUX Medical.
A feeling that the Minister also took home with her: "This fair has once again shown who is at the forefront of business in our state," attested Christa Thoben. "It's mid-sized companies who first of all gather the courage to integrate future-fit technology into everyday life." With a view to benefits for society in general she also emphasised that "with these not yet fully leveraged possibilities new employment can be created and also sustained for the future."
As well as being delighted by the products, Christa Thoben was also enthusiastic about the unique TRILUX stand design: the stand concept in the Rhein metropolis was intended to remind visitors of the 'Medical Cube' at the company's headquarters at Arnsberg in the Sauerland region of Germany. Here a giant steel cube construction on two levels houses various theme spaces. "A highly noticeable although not dominating presence," concluded the Minister.
